JAMIA DAWATUL QUR’AN

The madaris and makatib (primary, non-formal schools) play an important role in popularising education in Muslim society. The educational system run and managed by madarsas is an asset for us. A survey of purnea division conducted by Dawatul Qur’an Educational & Welfare Trust reveals there are various villages inhabiting in jungles, hilly areas or river banks which have never seen the light of education even after 56 years of independence.
JAMIA DAWATUL QUR’AN an Islamic educational center who run and managed by a registered Trust.(Regd.No.17286/04 Under Society Act Govt.of India) in north Bihar. The most important goal and objective of Trust is to spread Islamic education among the Muslim children and work for dawah among non-Muslims. Trust has so far established 36 makatib. It is pertinent to mention here that the Trust has patronage of Qari Abdul Hameed, founder of Jamia Hamidia Panoli, Disst. Bhrooch Gujarat. We plan to establish more makatib in future.
The Trust is working as a movement for providing basic Islamic education in Muslim dominated Purnea Commisionary. The Purnea Commisinoary is among the few Muslims populated areas of India. The literacy rate in this 35 lakh Muslim inhabited area is very discouraging and dangerously low, female literacy rate very poor. Purnea division is among the few Muslim populated areas of the country. Muslim literacy rate in this 34-lakh Muslim populated division is 31 % in Kishanganj, 27 % in Katihar, 28 % in Purnea and 25 % in Araria. Female literacy rate does not exceed 14 percent anywhere in the entire division.The Trust is totally dependent on the charity and benevolence of the affluent, so please for the sake of Allah, do remember it whenever occasion arrives. The teachers and students of our educational institutions are constantly praying to Allah in your favour.

Activities of the Trust at a glance

1. Jamia dawatul Qur’an(A big campus for multy purpose at 9 bigha Land Near National Highway)
2. Imparting free education to 35,00 students in various Makatib -e-Quraan
3. 36 Makatib -e- Quraan is directly managed by the Trust.
4. 20 other institutions run by under taking of the Trust.
5. Extending monetary help in the marriages of 65 poor girls.
6. Providing financial assistance to 185 widows on monthly bases.
7. Distributing scholarship to 250 outstanding students of Madarsas and collages on monthly bases.
8. Catering charitable medical facilities to hundreds needy peoples.
9. Distributing goats and cows to 45 helpless peoples for establishment their self under kifala scheme.
10. Trust also work construction of Mosques and Hot for poor person.(Trust has built 5 Mosques including Masjid-e-Noor)
11. Provides the big animals for Qurbani on the occasion of Eidul Azha every year.(Meat Ricepen5000 needy Peoples)
12. Other programmes like female literacy mission, general literacy mission, monthly scholarship for poor students, Anjuman Himayatul Millat Sewing Centre, libraries and such institutions are being successfully run by the trust.

Jamia Dawatul Qur’an is basically a mission to lay down a network of madaris. It has vast plans and has started work on available sources. We fasten hope on Allah to make our efforts bear fruits. It has established makatib in areas which do not have any school or madrasa or other source of education at a distance of 1 k.m. this these days 36 makatib are running very actively.

Future Prospects

1. To conduct a division-level survey to know the real situation of in different fields.
2. To lay down a network of makatib on priority basis in the entire region
3. To adopt ways to activate already established makatib
4. To organize inter-madaris competitive programmes and other extra curricular events
5. To0 form a team of educationists to undertake rural tours to meet parents.
6. To think about the welfare of existent schools/madrasas.
7. To form committees on Panchayat level to admit children to schools or madaris
8. To run cleanliness and health awareness movements
9. To establish mobile hospitals
10. To construct maternity homes and Qazi Mujahidul Islam Memorial Hospital
11. To run social Hailth awareness movements
12. To publish literature, booklets and pamphlets
13. Toestablish a girl High School with Hostel.

To fulfill this direly felt need of the time of Muslim society educationists, scholars and people of good fortune are requested to come forward to further this movement. Social and religious organizations are invited to visit the area, conduct their own survey and work on their own resources. We are ready to provide them assistance in this respect. Our survey can be useful for them to work in the region and do something good for the ailing Muslim ummah. Your assistance can be of immense use in the following manners:
